Toronto—On Sunday, April 30, MP Sidhu joined colleagues and the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the Khalsa Day celebrations in Toronto.
This annual parade comes at the heels of Sikh heritage month and marks the founding of the Khalsa (the Sikh Community). This years Khalsa Day Parade celebrating 318 years of Sikhism and the 350th anniversary of the advent of Guru Gobind Singh ji.
This years parade started at Exhibition Place with tens of thousands of Sikhs attending and marching to Nathan Phillips Square. The proceeds raised from the event are to be contributed to the Sick Kids Hospital.
